Saving Sally: A Review

Aspiring comic book artist, Marty, hides some romantic feelings toward his best friend, Sally. As he wavers back in forth to confess to her or not his true feelings, she tells him a secret. 

She has a boyfriend.

His name is Nick, and he's Marty's total opposite. He's a jock, a manipulative playboy. Of course, nobody can see this but Marty. To Sally, Nick is her hope to escape from her abusive parents. So even if Marty doesn't want to involve himself, he agreed to be the love messenger between the two.

Will he ever get a chance to tell her what he feels?

"Saving Sally" is directed by Avid Liongoren. It stars Rhian Ramos as Sally, Enzo Marcos as Marty, and TJ Trinidad as Nick. It is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

There is no denying that the film's wacky illustrations, profound musical score, and top-notch production works in wonder as it awes the viewers through and through. The use of different eccentric styles to capture the character's psyche and emotion is also smart and effective. "Saving Sally" is a quality film despite its noticeable age.
